So this happened  3/24/2022. I got triggered by seeing a cat asthma video on Instagram and decided I need to leave a review of my experience. My cat Chip was coughing and he had a coughing fit so bad that he was like foaming at the mouth throwing up kinda. I immediately made an appointment with them at Cornerstone. I told them that he was coughing. I told him that he foamed at the mouth this time because he had been coughing, but he had never had such a bad cough, coughing fit before. The foaming scared me and he kinda looked like he passed out for a second. Edit: remembered more details: He also had a newer scooting issue that had come up and that was brought up too bc I wasn’t sure if it was related. They didn’t really seem to think much of it all & gave him a steroid shot and he literally died that night. Of course they said it had nothing to do with what they did. But knowing when I know now based off of seeing videos on Instagram, my cat definitely had asthma. I don’t understand why I took my cat to the vet, complaining of him, coughing so hard and asthma wasn’t considered as a possibility. I didn’t know what cat asthma looked like. You would think the $150 appointment I paid for would assess my cat for things like asthma since my cat was coughing. So not only did I pay for an appointment that didn’t help my cat I then had to pay for my cat’s death and have the memory of seeing him stiff on the couch with his tongue out of his mouth and foam on the couch because I’m sure he had an asthma attack coughing fit which killed him in the middle of the night 3/25/2022. I understand conservative treatment but I didn’t ask anyone to save me money and I would’ve put myself further in debt for my lap buddy. This picture of him in the carrier is the last picture of him alive at the Cornerstone office that day. I tried to help my buddy and Cornerstone let me down despite being one of the better options in the area. I don’t know that I could’ve advocated for my cat better because I’m not a vet and didn’t know better. Be aware that in my experience Cornerstone didn’t go above and beyond to diagnose and help my cat and he died because of it.

Did great with getting me in emergency the day my SD unfortunately passed away, definitely thankful for getting his ashes back. Only reason for the four stars I was worried about the way he seemed after his dental appointment but otherwise no issues 😁

Who ever put the orange cat Garfield down yesterday was so unprofessional. You humiliated my friend for her care of the cat. He was an outside cat, he was old, and you pushed blame for absolutely no reason.. then 300 dollars for euthanasia? No cremation or any extras.. insane that you still have a practice.

This is a great practice that does top-notch work. They are very caring and professional, and can provide a lot of complicated procedures other places can't. They aren't the cheapest vet in town, but they are probably the best.

The quote I received on the phone was only for the rabies shot. It was only when I was already in the exam room that they told me it was actually $95 because the exam fee is included. They told me that that was the quote, which was a blatant lie. Nobody told me there were two fees, and no, it doesn't go without saying when money is involved, especially because if I did receive the information then I would have reviewed my options further before deciding on this place. It's an incredibly deceptive business practice because they withhold information on the phone and then once you're already in the exam room they know you'll say "well I'm already here so I might as well pay it." In addition to that, rather than using very neutral wording when doing the upsell for extra shots, they use very manipulative wording that challenges my love for my pet. You need to work on simply being completely upfront and informative rather than assuming things go without saying and refusing to explain or say anything unless it is explicitly asked about. Additionally, next time, cut the passive aggressive attitudes please. You really tested my patience but I remained completely pleasant for the sake of my pet. I can't believe the audacity you all had to do nothing about the blatant lie and quote typed in the computer but not said on the phone.
